Q1: Which grade are you in? What’s your name?
A1: I’m a fifth grader. My name is Weichi.
Q2: What made you join the Rhythm Band? How long have you joined?
A2: I was recommended by my homeroom teacher.
I have joined the Rhythm Band for three to four semesters.
Q3: Have you ever thought of withdrawing from the band ? Why?
A3: Yes, in the very beginning, I couldn’t get accustomed to the teacher.
Q4: Do you like joining the band? Why?
A4: Yes, I like it because I have more chances to touch the musical instrument.
Q5: What musical instrument do you play in the band?
A5: Both the melodica and the piano.
Q6: Can you make an introduction of the instrument you play briefly?
A6:The sound has to be made by the mouth; in the meantime, one has to use two hands to play the melodica.
Q7: What have you been ordinarily practicing?
A7: We usually practice the musical notation for the contest.
Q8: Do you feel tired while practicing ? Why?
A8: Yes, sometimes I feel exhausted for holding the accordion with only one hand.
Q9: Do you practice after school?
A9: Some people do, but some don’t.
Q10: Which melody do you like the most? Why?
A10: The Spanish Serenade.
Q11: Do you have difficulties while practicing?
A11: That’s for sure.
Q12: What would you do if you play wrongly?
A12: Listen to the teacher and try it again.
Q13: What’s your progress in music does it make after joining the band?
A13: My fingers have been much cleverer.
Q14: What’s your impression of the band before and after joining?
A14: I felt that the senior brothers and sisters in the band was incredible before joining ; however, I feel it’s quite hard after joining.
Q15: How do you feel about the instructor of the Rhythm Band?
A15:She is expert at conducting. Also, she looks gorgeous.
Q16: What would the teacher encourage you if you have good performance? Would she punish you if you did something wrong?
A16: She would give us something good to eat in case of good performance.One had to clean the classroom in case of bad performance.
Q17: Do you think it would have bad influence on your curricula?
A17: I don’t approve .
Q18: Is the Rhythm Band important for you? Why?
A18: Yes, it helps me be open-minded.
Q19: How do you feel that you have joined the band and won the honor for our school?
A19: I feel I can be out of the ordinary.
Q20: What do you want to say to the junior brothers and sisters in the Band after graduation?
A20: Though the process is not smooth , everyone must be patient.
