The
Interview
with
the
Former
Captain
Q:
How
long
had
you
been
the
captain?
A:
Two
years.
Q:
What
is the
main
job
of a
captain?
A:
To
serve
all
the
volunteers,
hold
all
kinds
of activities,
and
assist
with
school
affairs.
Q:
What
do you
think
is the
difference
between
being
a captain
and
just
a volunteer?
A:
Since
the
captain
of a
volunteer
team
has
to lead
others,
he or
she
should
not
have
any
bias
in favor
of any
member.
Beside
that,
it is
all
the
same.
Everyone
here
is to
serve
the
schoolchildren.

Q:
What
have
you
learned
since
you
started
being
a volunteer?
A:
From
being
a volunteer,
I have
learned
to “reduce”
myself
and
to be
more
tolerant
of others.
I started
to look
at the
bright
side
of everything
around
me.
Q:
Does
the
growth
of double-income
families
have
any
influence
on the
recruitment
of new
members?
A:
There
has
been
a decrease
in our
members.
The
new
members
recruited
this
year
number
less
than
ten.
What
is worse,
the
members
are
growing
less
and
less
with
each
year,
and
therefore,
a large
number
of our
volunteer
mamas
have
to take
part
in two
groups
or more.
