Interview

Planning gatherings and travels are the most basic and important objectives. Usually there will be an annual gathering and a trip for each semester. The volunteer team will hold a gathering once a year; sometimes there will be a reception for newcomers. But since there are not many newcomers nowadays, there will only be an annual gathering. As to the trips, there will be one on each of the two semesters. Our trips are very popular and quite good, so people are willing to join.

The most impressive event for me was the first time we were going to hold a gathering. Since I was the host, I was very nervous and felt terrible. A gathering is basically similar to a party, to provide a chance for people to communicate and know each other. When there are newcomers, a gathering is also a good way to introduce them into this organization. So I think the gatherings are necessary. Basically our section is not responsible for training activities. There are several gathering activities, such as: one-dish-for-each party, gaming gathering, Walk of Fame, or KTV, etc.    Occasionally we will make some changes, but basically a gathering is for people to communicate and know each other.

The greatest gain for being the Section Chief of Activity is good relationships to others, for everybody knows you. Furthermore, since Sunflower Volunteer Team is the largest volunteer team throughout Taipei City, there are more than a hundred members to join our gathering every time. It seems that they all are very eager to join, so I find it very fulfilling in planning activities in the Activity section.
