1.
How
long
have
you
been
volunteering
at
Xisong?
A:
About
5
years.
|

|

|

|
2.
Why
did
you
choose
to
volunteer
for
the
counseling
group?
A:
I
believe
volunteering
is
self-learning
and
a
service,
and
besides,
“actions
do
speak
louder
than
words”,
as
the
saying
goes.
I
hoped
my
children
could
look
at
what
I
was
doing
and
learn
to
offer
service.

3.
As
we
know,
the
counseling
group
was
awarded
the
“Golden
Diamond”
by
the
Taipei
Government
in
1995.
Can
you
tell
us
something
about
it?
A:
This
prize
was
given
by
Mayor
Ma,
who
is
the
incumbent
president.
It
was
an
honor
to
volunteer
groups.
Winning
the
prize
meant
the
government
authority
a../ppreciated
what
we
had
done,
so
we
were
very
glad
about
it.

4.
How
many
volunteers
are
there
in
this
group?
Is
it
sufficient?
How
many
students
do
you
have
to
counsel
now?
A:
There
are
23
volunteers,
which
has
been
insufficient
in
recent
years.
Except
for
the
class-based
curriculum,
there
are
around
28
students
in
a
group
counseled
by
us.
|

|

|

|
5.
What
are
the
qualifications
for
counseling
volunteers?
A:
They
need
to
be
observant,
open-minded,
patient,
and
willing
to
learn.

6.
How
do
you
help
the
kids?
Is
there
anything
you
have
to
be
careful
with?
A:
I
think
we
just
gather
knowledge
about
counseling
and
practice
it.
While
we
are
counseling
children,
we
must
pay
more
attention
to
their
emotions.
Usually,
there
are
some
stories
behind
them.
Not
only
do
we
observe
their
changes,
but
we
also
empathize
with
them
and
protect
them.
|

|

|

|
7.
What
did
you
get
from
being
a
counseling
volunteer?
A:
It
is
enjoyable
to
accompany
kids.
I
have
gained
ha../ppiness
and
fulfillment
from
counseling
them.
|

|

|

|
8.
Do
you
have
any
suggestions?
A:
I
hope
the
school
administration
can
offer
us
more
spots
for
counseling,
such
as
a
special
room,
and
to
provide
more
information
for
other
parents
to
know
about
our
counseling
group,
and
thus
join
us.
