Interview with the director of student affairs in Mingtran elementary school

 ....................................................................

Q1: Who is the coach of the school?

A1 Mr. Yang.

Q2: How long have the shuttleball team been set up?

A2: Only two months.

Q3: What do you think of the players?

A3: They do have a lot of space to improve. This is their first time to be in the game. They have just practiced for two months.

Q4: How many players are there in this game?

A4 :14

Q5: What is the reason to start playing shuttleball in your school?

A5: It was Mr. Yang who called me and told me that he would like to teach students to play shuttleball voluntarily. At first, we only recruited the players by asking the students in dodge ball team. After the summer vacation, more and more students know about it and ask to join the team. Since we have a big gym in school, we were very happy that more students do sports there. I myself supported very much.

Q6: Are you going to put shuttlball in school P.E curriculum?

A6: No. We don’t have enough teachers who know about it. But we will try by starting a shuttleball club first.

Q7: There are only a few schools with shuttlball team. What do you think about that?

A7: We used to player dodge ball. But since there is no international dodge ball game, the dodge ball games in Taipei city are fewer and fewer. However, I think we still need to provide more chance to our students. Even though playing shuttleball is not that popular, it’s still going to be a great help if they gain any confidence or learn anything outside of the classroom in the game.
