Q1: How long have you been the section chief of P.E.in school? Is there any difficulty and how do you think to improve it?

A1: I have been in this position for four years. The main difficulty is that the players do not have enough time to practice. The only way to solve this problem is ask the players to be more disciplined, and make more efficient use of the practice time.

Q2: What do you think of the shuttleball team in Xisong elementary school?

A2: We start this team for students who are interested in sports and to enhance the sports atmosphere in campus. We got good grades in the games in these years but because shuttleball is not a popular sport, the players are not too many. We hope we can recruit more players in the future since it takes 12 players for a complete team

Q3:What do you think of the shuttleball teams in Taipei City?

A3: There are three games in a year in Taipei City now. The number of the game is enough but they are all held in Taipei City because shuttleball is only played here. That is a pity. And we always wish there are more teams in the game.

Q4: What is the difference between the shuttleball court in our school and the one in the game?

A4: In school, we play outdoor, while the games are played indoor usually, so that the shuttleball won’t be interfered by the wind.

Q5: Why don’t the students learn playing shuttleball in school PE class?

A5: Shuttleball itself is hard to control, therefore it is not easy for all the PE teachers to learn and teach.

Q6: Who had been coaching the shuttleball teams in our school?

A6: There were many teachers who had been coaching the shuttleball teams. They were Ms. Shu-hui Lai, Shin- yi Chou, Xi-hongYeh and Mr Shan-bin Chen. The incumbent coach is Ru-chan Tsai.

Reflections

Today I know that there are three games a year in Taipei City. Although they are not many, but it sill need a lot of practice and efforts to win the game. It’s a pity that the shuttleball is only play in Taipei. I hope the advantages of playing shuttleball can be known by more and more schools

Mr. Wu said the reason that students are not asked to play shuttleball in PE class is because it is not easy to learn even for a PE teacher. Although there are not many players now, as long as they work hard, they can still get good grades and make it more popular.

Although there is no professional shuttleball coach in the school, the shuttlball team still can win the games for several times. There is really nothing impossible. Shuttleball is invented by a Taiwanese PE teacher. It is different from the one used to play internationally. That’s why few people know about it and can play it.
