Shuttleball Rules
 ....................................................................
Legal movements
Every part of the body
is allowed to touch the shuttleball except
for upper limbs,. The most often parts
a player uses are head, feet, knees and
thighs
When serving a ball, one foot should
be on the ground and the other kick the
shuttleball.
Service Area
The service of
a singles game or a doubles game is the
same as that of badminton. Each team
has two chances of serving. When it
is a doubles game, the player stands on
the right side has to serve one the right
area first, and then move to left area to
serve again, and so on so forth. When
it is a group game, the players take turns
clockwise to serve. It’s always the
player who stands on the right front serves.
Games and Courts
There are singles,
doubles, three-people group and five-people
group games. Singles games and three-people
group games are rare now. When playing
a group game, the volleyball court is adopted
as their court; while playing a singles
or doubles game, the badminton court is
adopted.
Rounds and Scores
The team wins two out
of three rounds or three out of five rounds
win the game. One team can get a point
when the opponent misses the shuttleball,
makes a mistake or breaks the rules. In
the doubles game, one player can kicks sequentially
twice or both the players of the same team
kick twice in totally. However, in
a group game, no one can kick sequentially
more than once, and the kicks in total should
be less than three times before the shuttleball
goes over the net to the other side. The
exception is these three times don’t count
touching the shuttleball by head or chest.
The serve
Before the game starts, captains from
both teams toss or draw the lot to decide
the sides of the court and the serve. Both
teams exchange the sides after each round
ends. They also have to decide the
sides and serve before the match round.
During the match round, both teams
need to exchange the sides when any team
gets their 11th point.
Scoring
The first team
getting 21 points and is at least 2 points
ahead at the end wins the round. If the
score is 20 to 20, it is called deuce.
