Q1:How long had you been the director of PE department?

A1: Around two years from 2001~2003.

Q2: Had it ever occurred to you that you were the coach of the shuttleball team?

A2: I knew nothing about shuttleball before I came to Xisong elementary. However, I thought it would be interesting to try and learn a new sport. I had been the coach of the shuttleball team for a year. I learned its training skills and rules by surfing the Internet.

Q3: How well did the players play in the games?

A3: They were champions in almost every game.

Q4: Do you know which kind of shuttleball you used then?

A4: The one we used before was a little bigger than the one used now.

Q5: Who is your most impressive player?

A5: There was a player called Min-ron Tsu. He was short and interested in shuttleball very much. After two years training, he became the top one in the team. Last time when I saw him, he just graduated from high school, and already was the player of the international game. He even set up a website introducing shuttleball.

Q6: Do you still play shuttleball now?

A6: I am too busy to play it now. But every time when I walk across the court, I will watch them play.

Q7: Had you ever met any player who thought of giving up?

A7: No! The players were very competitive and enthusiastic about shuttleball, and they all tried hard learning all kinds of different skills.

Q8:  Had you ever met any player who changed after playing shuttleball?

A8: Yes, I had. I remember one of the player who was bad-tempered. After playing shuttleball, with the encouragement from the teammate and the coach, self achievement from the game, he changed a lot and was no more a trouble maker in class.

Q9: Compared with the other sport team in school, what is the main reason why shuttleball team can not be so popular?

A9: I think it is because there is no professional shuttleball coach in school.

Almost all the coaches or the section chief of PE in school agreed that shuttleball is a good sport but it is unpopular still. With no professional coach in school, the teachers were all trying hard to learn it from very beginning. That is very impressive and cool.
